About Delta Faucets
The origins of the current Delta Faucet Company lie with Alex Manoogian, the founder of Masco Corporation. In 1952, he released one of the first single-handle faucets that combined hot and cold water in a single spout. He named this invention the Delta Faucet, as the movement needed to operate the faucet resembled the Greek letter delta.
Over its nearly 70-year history, Delta has never stopped innovating and reimagining the modern faucet. For example, their Touch2O technology, introduced in 2011, allowed users to turn the faucet on and off just by touching any part of the spout. That same year, Delta introduced Touch2O.xt, which allowed for touchless activation. This advanced technology propelled Delta as one of the best brands for touchless kitchen faucets. In 2019, the company went one step further with VoiceIQ, a feature that operates the faucet using commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
Beyond inventing new ways to use faucets, Delta is a pioneer in water conservation, magnetic docking, easy-clean coating, sturdy manufacture, and splatter reduction. The EPA presented Delta with the WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award in 2015 and named them a Sustained Excellence Award Winner in 2015, 2016, and 2017. The Delta Addison Lavatory Faucet with Touch2O.xtTM Technology was nominated for the 2012 Edison Best New Product Award, and various faucets have been named among the most innovative products of the year by different organizations.

How to Fix a Leaking Delta Faucet
Over time, your faucet with Touch20 will likely start leaking as minerals build up in the spout and prevent the touch feature from turning off completely. This is an easy fix, however. All you need is pressurized air and some vinegar.
If your touch faucet continues to run even when it should be off, remove the faucet and carefully disassemble it. Use the pressurized air to loosen and blow away any visible debris. Next, dip a cloth in the vinegar and gently clean the different parts. You can also place the parts in a solution of vinegar and water for a few hours if the buildup is particularly stubborn.
If this doesn’t stop the leak, there might be a defect with the materials. Reach out to Delta to discuss your options for repair or replacement.
